01 · The Machine
The Daewoo Diamond DMV-400 is our CNC vertical machining center — a 3-axis mill with a 20-tool automatic tool changer that handles secondary operations, fixturing work, and precision dimensional parts. Where the laser shapes flat material and the brake forms it, the mill is what turns sheet metal into a finished assembly.
02 · Why It's Here
We chose the DMV-400 for the work that's too tight for the laser and too complex for manual machining. Drilled and tapped holes with locational tolerance to ±0.005". Pocket geometry that needs flat-bottoms. Reamed bores for press-fit hardware. Counterbores, slots, and contoured profiles. Anything that requires the mill's positional precision in three axes.
03 · How It Runs
Most of what runs on this machine pairs with sheet metal coming off the laser and brake — secondary tapping, hardware insertion bores, precision fixturing for assembly. But it also handles standalone milled work: fixture plates, tooling components, contoured profiles, and parts milled from solid stock. Lights-out runs on production fixturing keep the mill productive overnight.
