On the L3050 · Brampton

Our shop floor runs a TRUMPF Trumatic L3050 5,000-watt CO2laser cutter, a TRUMPF tube laser, an Amada HDS 1303 NT 130-ton CNC press brake, a Daewoo DMV-400 vertical mill, a TRUMPF Trumatic 200 turret punch, and a Haeger 618 MSPE for hardware insertion. We cut mild steel up to 1.00″, stainless steel to 0.75″, and aluminum to 0.5″ — plus galvanized, spring steel, brass, and tool steel on request.

Send a CAD file (DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, or PDF) by 2 PM and an itemized quote lands in your inbox by 5 PM the same day. No minimum order, no setup fee, no batch markup — single prototypes ship to the same standard as 1,000-piece production runs.

On the Floor

Cut, Bend, Weld, and Machine. All In House.

Every fabrication process — laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding, CNC machining, tube laser cutting, laser engraving, punching, and finishing — runs on our Brampton floor. Nothing is subcontracted. The fabricator who programs your file is the same one cutting it. That keeps tolerances consistent (±0.005″ on the laser, ±0.5° on the press brake), lead times short, and accountability on one phone number.

Materials & Tolerances

The Metals We Cut. The Specs We Hold.

We laser-cut mild steel, stainless steel (304 and 316), aluminum (5052 and 6061), galvanized, spring steel, tool steel, and brass. Every material runs on the same ISO 9001:2015 inspection pass — first-article checks, in-process verification, and a Certificate of Conformance with each shipment.

Laser cutting holds ±0.005″ on contour. The Amada HDS 1303 NT press brake holds ±0.5° on bends with CNC backgauge repeatability. CNC machining runs to ±0.001″ on the Daewoo DMV-400 where the part calls for it.

How We Work

From First Email to Finished Part.

  1. Day 0

    Send the File

Send a CAD file (DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, or PDF) or a hand sketch with dimensions. Include material, thickness, quantity, and finish if you have them; we'll ask if you don't.

  2. Same Day

    Quote by 5 PM

Files in by 2 PM, itemized quote in your inbox by 5 PM. We program the nest in-house, so the price reflects actual cut time on our TRUMPF L3050 — not a markup over a generic estimator.

  3. Day 1–3

    DFM Review

We open every file, flag tolerances that'll inflate cost, and confirm bend allowances, hole-to-edge minimums, and weld-prep before the PO. Design-for-manufacturability review on every job.

  4. Day 3–14

    Cut. Bend. Weld. Machine.

Production runs the same floor: laser cutting, press brake bending, MIG/TIG welding, CNC machining, and finishing. No subcontractors. ISO 9001:2015 inspection at every handoff.

  5. Day 14

    Ship or Pick Up

Free pickup across the GTA. Carrier shipping anywhere in Ontario; freight Canada-wide on larger projects. Each shipment ships with a Certificate of Conformance and first-article inspection report.

Quality System

Inspection on every part we cut, bend, weld, and machine.

Inspection happens at every stage of a metal fabrication job — laser cutting, bending, welding, CNC machining, finishing — not just at the end. Here’s the ISO 9001:2015 sheet we follow on every PO.

Quality Control
ISO 9001:2015
  1. Station 1

    DFM Review.

Before we quote, we open your CAD file (DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES) and flag laser cut tolerances, bend reliefs, and weld accessibility. Most jobs save 5–15% in setup time before the PO is cut.

    What We Check
    • Tolerance stack-up vs. laser fabricability
    • Press-brake bend reliefs + minimum flange
    • Material orientation + grain direction
  2. Station 2

    First-Article Inspection.

Production runs start with a first-article inspection against your drawing on the TRUMPF L3050 cut, the Amada press-brake bend, the weld, and the CNC machined feature. Nothing else cuts until the FAI passes every critical dimension.

    What We Check
    • Critical dimensions vs. drawing
    • Hole locations + diameters (±0.005″ laser)
    • Surface finish + edge condition
  3. Station 3

    In-Process Spot Checks.

Cut, bent, welded, machined, finished — each station verifies its own work before passing the part on. The ISO 9001:2015 audit trail follows the part through the entire fabrication floor.

    What We Check
    • Laser cut tolerance + edge quality
    • Bend angle (±0.5°) + flange dimension
    • MIG/TIG weld penetration + cosmetic finish
  4. Station 4

    Documentation Package.

Every PO ships with mill material certs, CWB-qualified welder records, FAI report, and an ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Conformance — available in the box before parts leave our Brampton floor.

    What We Check
    • Mill cert per steel/stainless/aluminum lot
    • CWB or AWS welder qualification records
    • ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Conformance

Pricing Promise

Metal fabrication quotes you can read line by line.

Every laser cutting, bending, welding, and CNC machining job prices from your CAD file—cut time, bend setups, weld hours, material at cost, finishing. We can’t publish a flat rate sheet for custom metal fabrication, but we can show you what’s on a quote and what isn’t. The number you see at the bottom is the number on the invoice.

In Your Quote

What you're paying for.

Included
  • 1
    Laser Cut Time

Actual TRUMPF L3050 cut hours per part — billed by material (mild steel, stainless, aluminum), thickness, and pierce count.

  • 2
Bend Setups & Press Brake Time

Tool changeovers, fixturing, and per-bend time on the Amada HDS 1303 NT 130-ton CNC press brake.

  • 3
    Welding Hours

MIG, TIG, or stick runtime plus fit-up — billed at actual CWB-qualified welder hours, not flat rate.

  • 4
    Material at Cost

Sheet, plate, and tube sourced at our local mill price (mild steel, 304/316 stainless, 5052/6061 aluminum), plus a small handling fee.

  • 5
    Finishing (If Ordered)

Powder coat, zinc plating, passivation, anodizing — line-itemed per part, per finish, through GTA-local finishers.

  • 6
    Inspection & ISO Documentation

FAI report, material certs, ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Conformance — included on request, in the shipping box.

Not Charged

What isn't on the quote.

Free
  • 1
    Quote Fees

Send a CAD file (DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES) or a sketch — quoting costs you nothing. We quote at our true shop cost.

  • 2
    DFM Review

Flagging laser tolerances, suggesting cheaper bend sequences, confirming weld fit-ups — all free, before you cut a PO.

  • 3
    Programming & Nesting

We program every file in-house and nest the sheet ourselves. CAM time and material yield optimization aren't line items.

  • 4
    Tooling Costs

We own the laser nozzles, press-brake tooling, weld jigs, and CNC fixtures used on standard fabrication work.

  • 5
    Setup Add-Ons

Setup time is rolled into cut, bend, and weld hours — never a separate line, even on prototypes or single-part runs.

  • 6
    Surcharges

No fuel surcharge, no environmental fee, no rush fee on standard turnaround, no rounding up at the end.
