What it's used for
Serial numbers, part IDs, manufacturer logos, traceability codes (Data Matrix, QR), regulatory compliance marks, and asset identification. Common on aerospace components, medical devices, automotive parts, electrical enclosures, and any part that needs a permanent ID that survives the application environment.
Why people use it
Stickers fade. Stamping deforms thin material and creates stress concentrations. Engraving stays legible through paint, plating, weather, and decades of service. Combined with cutting in one setup, it eliminates a secondary handling operation — the part comes off the bed cut and marked, ready to ship.
What we hold to
Permanent depth on stainless and aluminum; oxide marking on mild steel for legibility without affecting structural integrity. Character heights from 0.040″ for traceability codes up to 6″ for branding. Variable-data programs for sequential serials. Programs stored — re-orders mark identically.
